The NPort 6150 is a serial server that supports SSL and SSH network connections. This means that the NPort 6150 can be used to create an encrypted network connection for virtually any serial device. An added benefit is that the serial port on the NPort 6150 serial server is 3-in-1. In other words, you can use the serial server to connect any RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 serial device to an Ethernet network by selecting the desired serial interface when you configure your NPort 6150.
